  • Discuss: What is the importance of blood? ​​ Read 1 John 1:7. ​​ How can this be so?

  • Read Hebrews 9:1-7. ​​ What​​ does the author say about the first covenant? ​​ Why?

  • Read Hebrews 9:8-10. ​​ What are the limits of the old system and how do they​​ point to the new?

  • Read Hebrews 9:11-15. ​​ What good things has Jesus brought to those who trust in Him?

  • Read Hebrews 9:16-23. ​​ What is required for a will to go into effect? ​​ What did God require for​​ purification and​​ forgiveness of sin? ​​ 

  • How is Jesus a “far better” sacrifice? ​​ 

  • Read Hebrews 9:24-28. ​​ Where is Jesus? ​​ What is he doing there? ​​ What does that have to do with you and me right now?

  • What does the “blood of Jesus” mean to you? ​​ When you think about it, how does it impact you?

  • Prayer

    • Thank God for the blood of Christ that washes away all of you sin.

    • Pray that you will live in the freedom that this brings to you, coming into the presence of God.

    • Pray for those you know who are still under the burden of their sin, that they will come to know the wonderful forgiveness Jesus brings.
