Looking Forward to a Better Place Hebrews 11:7-16
What kind of things do you look forward to? How does looking forward encourage you today?
Read Hebrews 11:7-12 What were the evidences of faith in Noah’s story?
What were the evidences of faith in the life of Abraham? What about Sarah?
Why aren’t the misdeeds of these people listed here? What does that say to you?
Read Hebrews 11:13-16 What was the common experience of all these people of faith mentioned in this chapter?
What was there position in this world? (vs.13) How can you live a life when you are not accepted by others around you?
What were these people looking for? How does that help us be faithful and persevere?
How does God feel about people of faith? (vs.16) What has He prepared? How does this encourage you? How should this impact how we live?
What things of this life are we not to be looking at or consumed by? What should we look at instead?
Prayer
Ask God to help you live by faith and not by sight.
Pray for those you know who do not have faith and need Christ to be assured of everlasting life.
Pray that you will look forward and not to the past.
