Make Your Dad Happy ​​ ​​​​ 

Proverbs 23:24; 1 Samuel 8:1-3

 

  • Read​​ Proverbs 23:24

 

  • What are the two things that are listed in this verse that bring joy to a father? ​​ 

 

  • What actions are required for these traits to be true in our lives?

 

  • Read 1 Samuel 8:1-3

 

  • What was the problem with Samuel’s sons? ​​ Why do you think that they didn’t follow their father’s example?

 

  • How do you think this impacted Samuel? ​​ How did it impact Israel?

 

  • Have you seen this happen with sons today?

 

  • Prayer

  • Thank God for our fathers.

  • Ask God to help us live godly lives and be wise in order to bring joy to our fathers and those around us.

  • Pray for those you know who​​ are not living godly lives and need to come to Jesus.

  • Pray for those you know who have been wounded by their father and need to find healing and be able to forgive.
