Small Group Questions​​  ​​ ​​​​ September​​ 22, 2024

Being Faithful to Jesus in​​ Our​​ Church ​​ ​​​​ 

Hebrews 10:24-25; Galatians 6:1-3

 

  • Do you think it is easier or harder to be faithful to Jesus at church? ​​ Why? ​​ 

  • When​​ people who don’t attend church say things like “the church is full of hypocrites” what do you say?

  • Read Hebrews 10:24-25. ​​ What are some ways we can motivate each other to love and good works? ​​ 

  • Have you ever been encouraged to keep attending church? ​​ Have you ever encouraged someone else? ​​ Was it effective and if so, what made it so.

  • Read Galatians 6:1-3. ​​ What are we to do if a fellow Christian falls into temptation? ​​ Who is to do this? ​​ Have you ever seen this take place? ​​​​ What things do you believe are necessary to be in place for this be effective?

  • How are we to view ourselves as we help others bear their burdens? ​​ Why is this important?

  • Read Ecclesiastes 4:9-12. ​​ Have you experienced the help of others to get you through a tough time? ​​ Have you helped someone else? ​​ Share your experience.

  • How has being in a small group made these things possible? ​​ How can you encourage others to get in a small group?

  • Prayer

  • Pray for your small group that you will be faithful to God and to each other in the areas we considered today.

  • Pray for the small group ministry at Community, that​​ it will grow and be effective for spiritual growth in people’s lives.
