  • Read Jeremiah 29:10-14. Why were the people of Israel in Babylon? (2 Chronicles 46:14-20) What is God’s promise to these who are exiled in verse 10? How do you think this made them feel at the time?

  • What is God’s promise to Israel in exile? (vs.10-11) What words in the promise bring encouragement to you?

  • How do these words help you when you feel that your struggles are punishment, or that life is basically over for you?

  • The promise is to be fulfilled in 70 years. Who are the people who will realize the hope of this promise? How should we have a multi-generational approach to life? What does this look like?
