Justification by Faith Alone Romans 3:21-31
What does “justification” mean to you? Give a personal example.
Read Romans 3:21-22. “But now” refers to something previously written. What would that be?
How has God shown us this way? What does placing our faith in Jesus look like?
Read Romans 3:23-26. How do we all fall short of God’s glorious standard? (What is God’s standard?)
How is it that God can declare us righteous?
How does God not punishing those in times past demonstrate Him being fair?
Read Romans 3:27-31. Paul says we have not done anything to be accepted by God. Is having faith something we do? Discuss.
Why can’t we forget about the law? How does faith enable us to fulfill the law? Read 2 Peter 1:3
Read Hebrews 10:35-36 and Romans 12:2. How are we to progress in this life of faith?
Prayer
Thank God for declaring you righteous through faith in Jesus Christ.
Ask God to help you change the way you think and let God transform you into a new person.
