  • What does “justification” mean to you? Give a personal example.

  • Read Romans 3:21-22. “But now” refers to something previously written. What would that be?

  • Read Romans 3:23-26. How do we all fall short of God’s glorious standard? (What is God’s standard?)

  • How is it that God can declare us righteous?

  • How does God not punishing those in times past demonstrate Him being fair?

  • Read Romans 3:27-31. Paul says we have not done anything to be accepted by God. Is having faith something we do? Discuss.

  • Why can’t we forget about the law? How does faith enable us to fulfill the law? Read 2 Peter 1:3

  • Thank God for declaring you righteous through faith in Jesus Christ.
